Punchline — Terms of Service

1. Overview

Punchline is a trading name of Azimuth Systems Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By using www.punchline.gg ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.

2. The Service

Punchline provides AI-powered podcast clip intelligence. The Service includes:

  • Audio and video upload with resumable transfers
  • Automated transcription with speaker diarisation
  • AI-powered analysis producing ranked clip plans
  • Video and audio clip generation with customisable brand templates (captions, watermarks, waveform overlays)
  • Social media integration — publishing clips directly to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn from your Punchline dashboard, and importing performance analytics for published clips
  • CSV import of performance data
  • Export of clip plans and analytics as JSON or CSV

3. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all audio/video content you upload and all brand assets (watermark images, templates) you create. By uploading content, you confirm that you own it or have authorisation from the owner to process it. We process your content solely to provide the Service and do not claim any rights over it.

Clips generated by the Service from your content belong to you. We do not claim ownership of generated clips, transcripts, or analysis results.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload content that infringes copyright, contains illegal material, or violates the rights of third parties. You are responsible for ensuring clips generated from your content do not contain unauthorised copyrighted material (e.g., background music).

5. Social Platform Integrations

Punchline allows you to connect third-party social media accounts (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) to publish clips directly and import analytics data for clips you have published on those platforms.

  • Connections use OAuth 2.0. Publishing features require write access to your connected accounts. Punchline will only publish content when you explicitly initiate a publish action from your dashboard — we never post automatically or without your consent.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that content you publish via Punchline complies with each platform's terms of service and community guidelines.
  • You can disconnect any platform at any time from your Punchline dashboard. Disconnecting removes stored access tokens immediately and revokes publishing access.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Invoices are issued by Azimuth Systems Ltd trading as Punchline. All prices are in GBP. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

8. Data Processing & Storage

Uploaded content is processed using third-party services including transcription, AI analysis, and video processing. Transcripts, analysis results, generated clips, and imported analytics data are stored in your account.

We send transactional emails to notify you when clip plans are ready, when usage limits are approaching, and before files are automatically removed.

To manage storage costs, the following retention policies apply:

  • Source files (your original upload) are automatically removed 7 days after clip generation is complete. Generated clips and analysis data remain available.
  • Generated clips are retained based on your plan: Starter (7 days), Pro (30 days), Agency (90 days), Enterprise (unlimited).
  • Storage limits apply per plan: Starter (1 GB), Pro (10 GB), Agency (50 GB), Enterprise (200 GB).
  • Abandoned uploads (files that fail to complete uploading) are automatically cleaned up after 24 hours.
  • You will receive an email notification before clips are automatically removed, giving you time to download them.

You can delete individual episodes or your entire account at any time. Manual deletion takes effect immediately.

Common questions

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes — all paid plans are month-to-month (or annual) with no lock-in. Cancel from your billing settings at any time. Your account reverts to the free Starter plan at the end of your billing period.

Who owns the clips and transcripts generated by Punchline?

You do. Punchline processes your content solely to deliver the service and makes no claim over your uploaded files, generated clips, transcripts, or analysis results.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Manual deletion takes effect immediately. All your episodes, clips, transcripts, and brand assets are permanently removed. Backups are cleared within 30 days.
